Every week at SB.TV we scour the internet searching for the freshest mixtapes, EPs and albums available for free download and deliver them to you here. Last week saw new projects available from Jeremiah Jae and King Louie……
Jeremiah Jae – Bad Jokes
Following the release of his Raw Money Raps on Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder imprint exactly a year prior, experimental beatsmith and MC Jeremiah Jae unleashed his latest mixtape Bad Jokes along with the announcement that he has signed with Sheffield-born, London based label Warp Records. The nine track project boasts production from Flying Lotus, Jonwayne, and Oliver the 2nd, with fellow Black Jungle Squad members Isreal and Oliver the 2nd lending guest verses. Spitting monotone pop culture references over the top of psychedelia and blunted loops make him stylistically comparable to MF DOOM (particularly his work with Madlib) but with a strong influence from the LA beat scene which the Chicago native inhabits. If Bad Jokes is anything to go by, we can’t wait to see what happens in Jeremiah’s future with Warp.
King Louie – Jeep Music
Between his appearance as the only guest to rap on Kanye West’s Yeezus album, and his upcoming major label debut Dope & Shrimp, Chicago’s King Louie has unleashed his latest mixtape project with the 12-track Jeep Music. Despite the up-and-comer’s current status he hasn’t made the common move of backing himself up with a host of all-star guests to increase his buzz, the Lawless Inc rapper handles things in-house with his usual collaborators including LoKey, Leek, DJ Victoriouz and Cryptonite amongst others.
