With just three weeks to go until her debut album drops, Rita Ora has decided to give her loyal fans a preview of what’s in store via iTunes…
The 21-year-old released online snippets of collaborations with artists such as fellow Roc Nation star J.Cole on the track Love is War and also will.i.am, who can be heard on Fall in Love and the number one single R.I.P, along with Tinie Tempah. She Tweeted:
“UK! You can hear ALL the tracks from my album #ORA! Tell me your favourite tracks!!http:// http://itunes.apple.com/gb/preorder/ora/id551149201”
The album, entitled Ora, features production from The Dream, Stargate and The Runners and is full of upbeat, pop rock songs that sound heavily influenced by the United States, which provide a stark contrast to Rita’s London accent.
In a recent interview with GQ, the singer explained how the name of her LP came about:
“It’s my name, but also ‘ora’ in my language means ‘time’ and it took me so long to do this album. Like three years.”
The album is set for release on 27 August and if these snippets are anything to go by, it sounds like those three years of hard work have definitely paid off.
