Fazer has revealed that he will be launching his own talent show on the BBC which will search for underprivileged children to form an urban orchestra…
The series will be called ‘Fazer’s Urban Orchestra’ and will eventually see young musicians play at a concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Fazer said:
“I’ll be looking for really talented players that are underprivileged. From violas, to violins…all the strings, percussion, brass, drums, everything like that. I’ll put together people that wouldn’t necessarily get the opportunity to perform in a prestigious place, or even with a full orchestra, and create an urban orchestra which will really set me up for my tour next year.”
Fazer also added that the orchestra will join him when he starts his tour saying:
“When I start my tour, on the first day at the Royal Albert Hall, I’ll be using my orchestra. It’s gonna be something to watch. At the end of the show, I want to be able to say, like in Gladiator: ‘Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained?’.”
Filming for the show is expected to start in 2013.
