Coverdrive recently teamed up with Dappy for their new single, Explode, and have revealed that working with the N-Dubz front man was something they had wanted to do for a long time…
Although the video for Explode debuted back in July, the Bajan group have now released a behind the scenes look at how the visual was put together, with band member Jamar Harding explaining how the collaboration with Dappy occurred:
“Our first tour was actually with Dappy on his ‘Rockstar’ tour and after that we had such a good relationship with him that we figured we should do a song with him. ‘Explode’ came about and he killed it.”
And lady of the group, Amanda Reifer, also had nothing but praise for the Camden Town star: “We’ve wanted to work with him for a long time. We finally got a chance to work together and create this song and it’s amazing.”
Explode features on Coverdrive’s debut album Bajan Style, which was released in May.
