Lianne Le Havas, an artist nothing short of spell-bounding…

In the basement of the Jazz Quarters tucked away in Dalston, supporters and press alike sat shoulder to shoulder on the rug strewn floors as Lianne filled the room with her compelling and soulful vocals.

Lianne captivated the audience with Don’t Wake Me Up, Tease Me, Forget and Age.

 

With her warm instrumentals and at times invading lyrics; the paradox present in her songs reflected her look; with her dark guitar and cutesy outfit.

After announcing her upcoming performance on Jools Holland the following night – Tuesday 18th, Lianne launched into her single featuring Willy Mason, No Room For Doubt.

Even her manner of guitar playing complemented her performance; somewhat stroking the instrument. A rendition of Oh Cinema and Everything, Everything ensued to much applause.

As fleeting thoughts of a stripped back Corinne Bailey Rae come to mind, all in all, Lianne is definitely a musician to keep your eye out for.
