Raekwon teams up with Ghostface Killah and Jim Jones for Rock N Roll, the first single from his forthcoming album, Shaolin vs Wu Tang

Raekwon – Rock N Roll ft. Ghostface Killah, Jim Jones & Kobe by SB.TV

Featuring RnB singer, Kobe, on the hook, the attention seeking track combines heavy guitars and drums. Full of metaphors for slanging, Rock N Roll name checks a bunch of rock stars in place of drugs as Kobe sings, “Have you ever took a hit of Mick Jagger? I bet it will blast ya.” Produced by DJ Khalil, Rock N Roll sees Rae displaying the word play he is admired for, as he lists the possessions and experiences he’s gained through the drug trade.

Beginning his verse with, ”Everything Platinum, even my baggy’s,” Ghostface is on point with his braggadocios flow. He adds a touch of humor to the track as he jokes about having famous party animal, Bobby Brown, on speed dial. The husky tones of Jim Jones contrast nicely against Ghost’s trademark high-pitched shout. Expressing dreams of being a rockstar, Jones declares that his group, The Diplomats intend to be greater than The Beatles.

Shaolin vs Wu Tang also features Rae’s Shaolin siblings, Method Man and Inspectah Deck, plus some of the biggest names in hip hop, including Nas, Busta Rhymes, Black Thought and Rick Ross. Production comes courtesy of Alchemist, Erick Sermon, Kenny Dope and Scram Jones, as well as many more.
