Filmed during their recent tour, the video sees J. Cole hanging out with a fan backstage. They go back to her hotel room, then she wakes up to find he’s gone, leaving only his T-shirt behind.

When the release date and video location were announced, many expected the video for In The Morning to be full of overly romantic scenes, but the final result is far from flowers and chocolates as it displays the realities of life on the road.
