Last month Hip Hop publication, XXL published an article questioning, “Is Beef Dead?” After his interview in the new issue of Complex magazine, it looks like Kid CuDi is trying to resuscitate it. When Complex asked the Day ‘N’ Nite rapper how he felt about Wale’s comment about CuDi in the Thank You Freestyle, he tore into his former friend Wale, calling him a “simple-ass rapper.”

He explained how he took offence to an interview in which Wale compared himself and CuDi. “Did you see that interview that he just did, comparing us to sports? Let me clear this up: I’m incomparable to anybody. I don’t care how people take that. No one can compete with me. I’m unf**kwittable; no one can knock me off my s**t. I’m an unstoppable force, I’m a bullet. My trajectory is to the sky. N***as got to do something really spectacular to f**k with me and my realm, and n***as be so bitter that you hear it in their voice.”

The Cleveland rapper, signed to Kanye West’s record label, G.O.O.D Music suggested that his label boss also thinks little of Wale. “People like Wale get mad that ‘Ye ain’t give him no beats—’Ye ain’t give you no beats because we ain’t f***ing with your raps. It’s not a conspiracy theory. We don’t f*ck with you musically, so we’re not going to provide music for you. The s**t is a service, it’s a quality of a certain standard.”

Wale responded on Twitter with a sly dig at his new rival with “n***as lettin that liquid cocaine get to them…..lets go then.” The tweet referred to CuDi’s summer arrest after he was caught in possession of the drug. Could this be another case of “Frienemies” trying to boost their career through beef? Who can forget 50 Cent and Kanye’s release date battle?
